DEPUTY DIRECTOR
Anibal Polanco

Anibal Polanco began volunteering with the Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission in 2012 while pursuing his film degree at what is now Cal Poly Humboldt. During that time, he contributed to projects like Map of the Movies, Movies in the Park, and Local Filmmakers Night.

With over a decade of experience in the film industry, primarily in the Locations Department, Anibal spent four years working in Southern California before returning home to bring his expertise to the Film Commission. Now serving as Deputy Director and Locations Specialist, he helps productions find the perfect locations, supports key projects, and contributes to events like the Forest Moon Festival.

Helping with the Forest Moon Festival 2024 and co-curating the Redwood Coast Museum of Cinema's exhibits, J also oversees the coordination of interns and volunteers, fostering a collaborative environment that supports the Film Commission’s vibrant initiatives.
