Samba do Mar Humboldt is a local arts education organization and a DreamMaker Project of The Ink People. We create learning and community-building experiences that celebrate Brazilian dance, music, and culture. Our programs support local artistic growth while uplifting both our community and Brazilian artists on their creative journeys.
Since 2024, our Brazilian Dance and Music Artist Residency Program has brought master teachers and culture bearers directly to Humboldt County for community workshops and gatherings. Through partnerships, we co-host vibrant community events like the Annual Humboldt Samba Parade. We also offer intensive Samba and Afro-Brazilian performance training. Your support will help us expand our artist residencies, host more community events, elevate our performance teams, and increase program scholarships for both adults and children.
