The House of Acts 2:38 serves the under-served populations. Justice involved populations to help reduce recidivism and supportive services when they came out. Homelessness populations offering housing and essential items after entering into this home. Survivors of domestic abuse offering a safe and secure haven to restore nurturing environments. Family reunification for affordable housing where parents can be reunited with their kids and live together, while receiving access to mental health and supportive services. Substance abuse disorder, identifying root causes through emotional support and offering services that are tailored to each individual need. Populations suffering with relapse, as it comes in different ways and in all its forms. From spending habits, to unhealthy relationships, finding healthy coping mechanisms and providing livings skills to help individuals transition back into the community and regain their confidence to live a healthy life on their own.
We bridge health care services and coverage to the most vulnerable populations. We are providing emergency essential services offering counseling, transportation support, and classes: relapse prevention, leadership classes, and Bible study. We work closely with social workers and probation to ensure no gaps are experienced with their care. We partnership with Fortuna Family Medicine and Partnership Health Plan of California.

We kindly appreciate any donation, large or small. WE can ensure that 100% of the donation will go back into the community which we serve.
Why do we do this?
Many of our staff members have came from the same place, if not worse, than the people we are serving. For many of us, this service was not available. We believe that no one should be left behind, and that people should be given second chances. This is our calling and what we live for. Letting you know that you are loved, and important. We have expanded by The Lord, and the small donations we have received by opening our second home for women and children this year in January 2026. And we want more, for males and males with children. We want to expand services for a 24 hr emergency hot line and a 12 passenger van for transportation services. We want to expand our clothing closet and sewing classes. We want to start offering vocational training, and link women with professionals in their fields for job readiness, internships, and job skills training.
We are going Bold, with the donations received for this event we want to fully fund and sponsor 30 women and 30 kits. This is bold, and together we can make changes. Our goal is $12,000. We are thankful for each donation, no matter how big or small. While donations open April, On May 29th all day these donations will be matched, and may even be boosted by $1,000. Thank you Bold Day of Giving, and everyone who donates today.
Since The House of Acts 2:38 opened two years ago, we have served over 40 females, while two have gone back to jail, one is currently taking classes for Counseling at College of the Redwoods. The other is attending Celebrate Recovery and utilizing their services. The other 38 women have signed up for social services, signed up for a primary care physician, have received social security, signed up for classes, found a job, and found housing and a place to stay. Success is different for each person, and helping each individual with their own goals is why we are here, and what our calling is. 2 women and 5 children have been reunited in our ministry home. With 2 women and 2 children having stable, low income housing while receiving mental health services for their family during their stay. Success is different for each person, but we are here to help with whatever that looks like to them. While we haven't been able to contact or reach out to everyone who has left, we are working to see this changed in the future.
